The Reverend Know-It-All is a parody of Mr. Know-It-All, the alter ego of Bullwinkle J. Moose, a cartoon character created by Jay Ward (1920-1989)
How can I thank you? I'll try in the best way I know how...Eternal rest grant unto Jay Ward, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Reverend Know-It-All
a.k.a. Fr. Richard T. Simon
"No matter how polite one is about it, the truth is never what another really wants to hear"
"When the Bible says something six times, I’d pay attention"
"Science itself is a belief system. This year’s science books will be tomorrow’s trash"
"We are increasingly incompetent in the skills that we daily depend on, things like how to grow a tomato or build a chair"
"Again, natural law is the fulfillment of our humanity, not a limit on our freedom."
"Science unleashed without a soul is not necessarily a blessing. "
"What I don't know I can always make up..." - RKIA
The image on the right is that of St. Irenaeus (2nd century AD), bishop of Lyon and Father of the Church whose late second century Adversus Haereses (written about 180 AD) is a classic work of apologetics. His writings were formative in the development of Christian theology. The Reverend Know-It-All thinks he's another St. Irenaeus! But, some think he's more like the character Mister Know-It-All from the 1959-64 TV series Rocky and His Friends and The Bullwinkle Show, often referred to as Rocky & Bullwinkle.

My family prayed together, read the bible together, went to Mass together. To see my parents pray was to see a man and woman communing with God. I was taught my whole life that God was somebody, not something, a person, not just an idea. It took me a very long time to realize that my new evangelical Pentecostal friends didn’t really mean a relationship with a person when they said, “personal relationship with Jesus Christ” they mean a private relationship with Jesus Christ - RKIA
