Receiving Holy Communion:
Please receive the Sacred Host with your left hand ONLY.
Extend your left hand or your left hand placed on top of your right hand to receive the Sacred Host, so that, after moving 6 ft away, you can remove your mask and convey the Sacred Host into mouth with your right hand.
However, the most caring and reverent possibility is to lower your mask with your right hand and bring your left hand up, with the Blessed Sacrament in your palm, and take it directly into your mouth. We all want to refrain from desecrating the Consecrated Host, the body and blood of Christ, by losing or dropping even one particle.
If you are wearing gloves, please remove your gloves before receiving the Holy Communion.
Volunteers Needed:We know the times are difficult, but we hope that you will continue your support of the parish if you are financially able to do so.
The day that we can come together again will be Easter joy, even though it may be a little delayed.
We offer electronic giving through a simple tool that provides you with the opportunity to support the parish in a way that is convenient and secure. Our online giving partner is GiveCentral.Org. Just click on the logo below to get started. (There is a small fee for each transaction to the parish)
Or, donations can be made online by using your bank account as a bill payment. It can be scheduled in advance to occur on a recurring basis or as an individual one time donation. (There is no charge to the parish or to you to utilize this service)
If you have any questions, please email or call Debbie.
Or, you may continue giving with your offertory envelopes. Just bring them during Mass and drop them in the donation box at church's lobby.
May God bless you for your generosity.
Stay safe in the Lord’s keeping,
Fr. Simon
O God of compassion, your people are anxious in this time of pandemic. Send your Holy Spirit among us to dispel our fears.
We cry out to you in our confusion; comfort us in our affliction. Grant our leaders wisdom to guide us.
Strengthen and sustain those who are ill, and be with those who care for them.
Help us to travel this road in solidarity with our neighbors, with our eyes fixed on the salvation promised us through the death and resurrection of your Son, who is Lord forever and ever.
Amen
IMPORTANT:
Under the mandate of Cardinal Blase J. Cupich, Archibishop of Chicago, St. Lambert Parish's Liturgical Services remain partly available. Please read below the reopening instructions. Please also understand that compliance with these instructions is essential for our continued permission to celebrate the Holy Sacraments.
Letter from our Pastor
"The day that we can come together again will be Easter joy, even though it may be a little delayed" - Fr. Richard Simon
"I am deeply grateful to the committee and the volunteers who have made it possible to resume Masses at Saint Lambert's for the past two weeks." - Deacon Chick O’Leary
Dear Friends:
Since the beginning of the pandemic lockdown and the subsequent closing of churches, we have all longed to be together in the celebration of our sacraments and devotions. Particularly difficult was not being together during Holy Week and Easter as well as witnessing the many struggles that all of you are facing. I am grateful though, for the many ways in which you have supported each other and cared for the most vulnerable among us.
I am very aware of the intense desire that we all have, to participate fully in the sacramental life of the church and especially the reception of the Eucharist and the availability of confession. That is why the parish is preparing to obtain the necessary certification from the Archdiocese to reopen. The reopening will take place in phases following the directives and guidelines of the health authorities and the Archdiocese. As we reach the different phases of reopening and conditions change, we will continue to ensure the health of our church community
I am very pleased to announce that we have been approved for Phases 1, 1A and 2 and thus will be allowed to reopen as follows until further notice:
Weekend Holy Masses
There is a limit on the number attendees at each Holy Mass and you can only sign up through "Sign Up Genius", link provided below. You can include the total number of those attending from your household. You will need a valid email and your parish envelop number. You don't need to sign up for Confession. Also, please wear your face coverings.
Church staff are not able take calls or messages and will only be contacting people by phone when absolutely necessary as we are required to sign them up online for record keeping purposes.
Important: Please understand that compliance is essential for our continued permission to celebrate the Holy Sacraments and to allow the volunteer crew to clean and disinfect between Holy Masses. We appreciate your full cooperation and patience.
This system facilitates scheduling but it does not allow for Mass time selection. Once you sign up, that is the Mass you may attend.
Upon entering through the East door (Handicap accessible), you will give contact information and be ushered to a seat clearly identified with a cross. Once Mass is over ushers will direct you to exit through the central doors.
For a better understanding of the process and the need for these requirements, please refer to the archdiocesan document “Parishioner Reopening Guide.”
While our parish staff and volunteers will attempt to take appropriate precautions consistent with the advice of public health and civic authorities, all parishioner attending any service at St. Lambert should understand that they assume the risk of contracting COVID-19 any time they enter a public space since no amount of precaution can entirely eliminate the risk of infection. We urge those parishioners who are in the vulnerable population and do not yet feel comfortable leaving home, or those who may be symptomatic of any contagious illness, to shelter home and take care of themselves. As expressed above, your dispensation from Sunday obligation remains in place.
Online Vigil Masses and prayer services are still made accessible thru the links below under "ONLINE HOLY MASSES AND PRAYER SERVICES."

P.S. If you have any questions (not for reservations for Mass attendance), please email me at stlambertmass.com

RESPONSE TO POSSIBLE SCAM
July 16, 2020
Dear Parishioner:
IF YOU RECEIVE A CALL FROM SOMEONE CLAIMING TO BE FROM ST. LAMBERT IN REGARDS TO CONTACT TRACING, HANG UP IMMEDIATELY AND CONTACT US. AS A RULE YOU SHOULD NOT GIVE PERSONAL OR SENSITIVE INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE TO ANYONE. THEY MAY BE SCAMMERS.
We have been made aware of a situation that needs to be clarified. A parishioner who attended a funeral mass sometime in June is claiming to have received a call making reference to “Contact Tracing". No one from St. Lambert made such a call.
First and foremost we would never request any personal information from any parishioner or any one attending our church nor divulge it. Birth dates, Social Security numbers or financial information should never be given out to anyone over the phone. There are hundreds of scammers who prey on the public to obtain their information and victimize them.
AGAIN, DO NOT GIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE TO ANYONE CLAIMING TO BE FROM ST. LAMBERT AND REFERENCING CONTACT TRACING. IF YOU DO RECEIVE SUCH A CALL, HANG UP IMMEDIATELY AND CONTACT US AT SaintLambert@aol.com
We want to make it very clear the we respect your privacy and the information that we are gathering through the registration program to attend Mass only asks for name and number of attendees. Those that cannot register online are asked for a phone number and/or email to comply with the Archdiocesan and Health Department regulations.
The only time we would contact you is if there is a possibility that you may have been exposed to or come in contact with someone who has contracted COVID 19 and has attended one of our Masses.
The precautions we are taking and the protocol we follow are intended to minimize the possibility of contagion but as we express in this website, all those attending any service at St. Lambert should understand that they assume the risk of contracting COVID-19 any time they enter a public space since no amount of precaution can entirely eliminate the risk of infection. We urge those parishioners that are in the vulnerable population and do not yet feel comfortable leaving home, or those who may be symptomatic of any contagious illness, to shelter home and take care of themselves.
Fr. Simon
